Requirements

  • Previous food handling, server or lead server experience is required.
  • You must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit and Alcohol Server’s Permit.
  • To be successful in this role, you need strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • You must be able to read, write, type and use basic technology.
  • This job requires you to stand and move around for an entire shift and you also must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
  • Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with training, coaching, mentoring and scheduling.
  • Support employees in the restaurant and room service to ensure guests are receiving attentive and efficient service.
  • Proactively engage in conversation with guests, seeking feedback about their stay and their dining experience.
  • Apply problem solving skills to resolve guest issues or complaints to their satisfaction.
  • Monitor all food and beverage deliveries for portion control, quality and presentation.
  • Ensure that food handling and safety guidelines are followed, including kitchen logs.
  • Monitor key control and cash control procedures to ensure standards of operating are met.
  • Oversee inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items.
  • Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
