The Restaurant Server provides an exceptional dining experience to guests by providing courteous and efficient service. The Server is responsible for taking orders and serving food and beverages and creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment. What you'll be doing Greeting and Seating: Welcome guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Assist with seating arrangements and accommodate special requests or preferences. Order Taking: Listen attentively to guests' food and beverage orders, making note of any special instructions or dietary restrictions. Accurately input orders into the restaurant's ordering system. Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and drinks promptly and accurately to guests' tables. Ensure proper presentation and verify that orders match customers' requests. Product Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and specials. Offer recommendations to guests based on their preferences and answer any questions they may have. Upselling: Suggest appetizers, side dishes, desserts, and beverages to enhance the guest's dining experience and increase sales. Skillfully promote specials or featured items. Table Maintenance: Keep tables clean and properly set with utensils, glassware, and condiments. Clear empty dishes and reset tables efficiently for new guests. Customer Interaction: Engage with guests in a friendly and attentive manner. Address any concerns, provide solutions, and ensure guest satisfaction. Payment Processing: Present bills to customers, handle payment transactions accurately, and process credit card transactions. Return change, receipts, or credit card slips promptly. Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff, bussers, and other servers to ensure smooth coordination of orders and efficient service flow. Sanitation and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and following proper hygiene practices. Special Events: Participate in and assist with special events, parties, and catering functions as required.
