About The Position

No other community comes close. The Promontory Club, located just outside of Park City, Utah is seeking a full time Senior Service Host to join our team. The duties of a Senior Service Host are to deliver service in an upscale atmosphere demonstrating the grace and hospitality indicative of a superior quality restaurant. Getting to know the membership of Promontory and their preferences and making the Shed Restaurant the Members’ home dining room.

Requirements

  • College Degree in Hospitality preferred. High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required with four years' experience and/or training in an upscale restaurant environment, hotel, resort, or private club. Maintain TIPS and Serve Safe certifications.
  • A broad background in fine dining. Several years' experience supervising high end table service required. Basic computer skills and competency in the following Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; and POS software.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be willing to work various hours, holidays, weekends, and long hours on feet.
  • Must be at least 21 years or older and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the dining room and FOH equipment operations. Monitoring and maintaining the ambiance of the dining area, including lighting, music, and overall cleanliness.
  • Ensures timely opening and closing of restaurant facilities and conducts opening and closing protocols.
  • Enjoys problem solving and is adept at multiple resolution styles with members and coworkers, is sure to conduct all inquiries and resolutions in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ensuring reservations are organized and recorded correctly. Keeping track of reservations, updating the reservation system, and managing the flow of guests during peak times.
  • Maintains a cheerful and friendly disposition with members and coworkers despite the stress of the work environment. Able to interact with members and staff at a professional level.
  • Clean and neat professional appearance and attitude
  • Attention to detail and enforcement of company policies.
  • Build and maintain membership relationships for the betterment of Promontory and the community's mission.
  • Addressing guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Planning and coordinating special events, private parties, or large group reservations, ensuring that all guest requirements are met.
  • Effectively communicating with the serving staff, kitchen, and other restaurant personnel to ensure efficient service and address any special requests or concerns from guests.
  • Deliver any other reasonable request of senior management.
  • Assist with all service in the Restaurant ensuring the needs of all guests are taken care of.
  • Maintain responsibility for compliance with regards to Utah Department of Alcohol and Beverage Control.
  • Ensure that all health codes and company safety standards are complied with.
  • Reports to Shed’s Front of House Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned or as required ensuring the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience.
