About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager role is a key leadership position at the iconic Little Palm Island, a private island resort 30 minutes from Key West, accessible only by private ferry. The resort features 30 luxury suites, a Balinese-style spa, and an exclusive waterside fine dining experience overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to 100 guests. The manager will also oversee fine cocktails in the lounge, in-room dining, and small private gatherings. This is a hands-on opportunity to drive service levels and execute excellence, acting as a mentor and coach to the team, actively working alongside them on the floor, and providing high-end service training. The manager's leadership is crucial for attracting, motivating, and retaining a high-performing team aligned with the company's Core Values. The role requires extensive knowledge of fine wines and fine dining service, bringing a white-table-cloth service standard to a refined pebbled beach setting. Responsibilities include daily partnership with the Executive Chef on changing menus, creative input on wine-pairings, specialty cocktails, and exclusive buy-outs, as well as ensuring business objectives and cost controls are met. Administrative tasks such as ordering, cost controls, and payroll, along with leadership functions like performance management, training, coaching, and counseling, are also part of the role.
