About The Position

As a core leader on the Food & Beverage team, the F&B Manager focuses heavily on back-of-house leadership while supporting the overall F&B operation by assisting in day-to-day oversight of F&B operations across all Loveland outlets, including the Basin and Valley Lodges, Ptarmigan Roost Café, outdoor BBQ, and summer banquet events. Key responsibilities include organizing and scheduling daily food prep and production based on demand; managing product ordering and inventory; training seasonal team members; and deploying staff efficiently across multiple locations, including back-of-house coordination during weddings, banquets, and other on-mountain events. The F&B Manager is hands-on in the kitchen, leads by example, and ensures high standards for food quality, safety, and consistency. This role also supports the guest experience by ensuring that every plate we serve reflects the warmth and hospitality Loveland is known for, especially for our loyal locals. You’ll work closely with staff to build a fun, motivated, safety-conscious team, and help uphold all health department and internal standards. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education and/or Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a high-volume food service environment
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a high-volume establishment
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to successfully pass background screening
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, ServSafe Food Protection Manager certificate
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, Colorado TIPS Alcohol Service certificate
  • Ability to step in to perform all duties of any position in the F&B outlets at any time, flexibility to move between leader and line level responsibilities quickly
  • Ability to take initiative to resolve day-to-day operation issues
  • Proficiency in back of house kitchen operations and front of house guest service
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures as found in typical kitchen environments, and at high altitude
  • Outdoor work may be required, i.e., snow shoveling, loading/unloading delivery trucks, moving tables/chairs for outdoor events, etc.
  • Advanced office computer skills required including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typical business computer applications
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English- speak and understand verbal and written communications
  • Must have understanding of general health department regulations
  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Fluent in Spanish - preferred
  • Ability to ski/snowboard to support employees and F&B operations at Ptarmigan Roost Café, elev. 12,010’ - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct daily F&B Back of House Staff operations and deployment to include: uphold team member performance expectations; deploy daily staff as appropriate for business needs; and maintain acceptable ticket times and high food quality standards.
  • Coordinate daily food preparation and assist in execution, safe food handling and guest service during meal periods.
  • Train to, maintain and audit for compliance, all industry food safety and employee safety standards.
  • Maintain food production facility cleanliness to Company and Health Department standards within all Loveland F&B outlets.
  • Maintain high level of guest service and hospitality and affect successful guest recovery.
  • Assist in leading staff station training and proper food production standards.
  • Assist with maintaining food cost and inventory controls, including portioning, proper ordering, recipe consistency, periodic inventory and any other duties as assigned.
  • Provide general leadership within the F&B department, overseeing all operations in the absence of the Director.
