The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for assisting in coordinating, supervising and directing all property food and beverage operations, including outlets and banquet operations, maintaining a profitable operation, producing high quality products and delivering excellence in service levels. The Food and Beverage Manager is expected to market ideas to promote business; hire and develop a service-focused and knowledgeable team; grow revenue, guard payroll/budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have knowledge of, or be proficient with company approved technology platforms including payroll, HRIS, POS, inventory, ordering systems, etc.
  • Must be able to work a varied work schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The physical requirements of this job includes: standing and walking for long periods of time; bending, stooping and reaching overhead; pushing and pulling up to 250 lbs and lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hiring, training, and directing the restaurant staff in servicing Hemingway's Restaurant as well as the banquet and catering space.
  • Review all schedules, equipment, supplies and organize work flow to ensure a quality event to guests on a daily basis.
  • Monitor and control budget (i.e., labor costs, beverage costs, supplies and equipment) and coordinate with event budgets to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while providing quality service to the guest.
  • Implement company programs and resolve daily operational problems through consistent monitoring of operations to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations, SOP's and to ensure an optimum level of service, quality and hospitality.
  • Creative menu development and implementation
  • Assist team leaders in meeting and exceeding Holiday Inn Standards and Service Goals.
  • Maintaining all food safety and alcohol serving guidelines
