The Food & Beverage Manager is an energetic, service-driven leader responsible for overseeing all front-of-the-house food and beverage operations while delivering exceptional dining experiences for members and guests. This role ensures seamless daily service, strong collaboration with culinary and bar teams, and consistent adherence to the highest standards of hospitality. In addition, the position supports and manages food and beverage execution for club events, banquets, and special functions, ensuring every experience reflects the excellence of La Gorce Country Club. Food & Beverage Operations & Leadership Direct, supervise, train, and motivate all front-of-the-house food and beverage staff to deliver consistently outstanding service. Oversee daily dining room operations, ensuring exceptional service flow, cleanliness, and presentation across all outlets. Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, accurate execution of food and beverage orders. Organize all service logistics, including floor plans, station assignments, reservations, staffing levels, and special member requests. Lead daily pre-shift lineups to communicate specials, service standards, policies, and operational updates. Actively engage on the floor during service by assisting with seating, taking orders, running food and beverages, and resolving service challenges. Serve as the primary point of contact for member and guest feedback, resolving concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Monitor staff performance, professionalism, grooming, and adherence to club service standards. Ensure all opening, running, and closing side work is completed accurately and on time. Maintain dining room reservation systems and oversee table management. Ensure menus, pricing, and daily specials are accurately entered and maintained in the POS system. Oversee timekeeping, payroll accuracy, and scheduling while maintaining budgeted labor goals. Review daily sales reports, end-of-day documentation, and shift summaries for the Senior Food & Beverage Manager and Executive Chef. Manage dining room inventories, including china, glassware, silverware, linens, and service equipment. Continuously improve service quality by developing and implementing approved procedures and best practices. Participate in meetings, menu development, training initiatives, and POS updates. Conduct coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions as needed. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Event & Banquet Service Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee food and beverage service for club events, banquets, private functions, and special member events. Collaborate with the Senior Food & Beverage Manager, culinary team, and event stakeholders to plan staffing, service flow, and execution. Ensure event spaces are properly set up according to event specifications, timelines, and service standards. Supervise on-site food and beverage service during events to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. Act as a point of contact during events to address service needs, special requests, and last-minute adjustments. Assist with post-event breakdown, reporting, and service evaluations to support continuous improvement.
