About The Position

A Food and Beverage Lead oversees the daily operations of a specific area within the Food and Beverage Department, such as Pink’s Hotdogs, Bullwinkle's Grille, Ben’s Soft Pretzels, etc. This role supports the team by primarily assisting with day-to-day stand operations assisting as cashiers, runners and cooks as needed. Leads ensure their assigned location is prepared to open each day, maintain cleanliness standards with daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, and troubleshoot equipment to support efficient operations. They assist with training and developing team members to ensure compliance with Cowabunga Vegas procedures and all health department regulations. Food and Beverage Leads are guest-focused individuals who are committed to creating memorable experiences that keep guests coming back all summer long.

Requirements

  • Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler’s permit.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift 25–50 lbs.
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, or rain.
  • Must be able to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to communicate in a positive and professional manner and work well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Assign team members to their designated areas for each shift.
  • Ensure team members complete daily checklists and cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure team members receive breaks in accordance with applicable labor laws, and that breaks are documented properly.
  • Ensure all health codes and safety laws are followed.
  • Assist with resolving guest complaints.
  • Ensure you and your team provides outstanding customer service.
  • Monitor guest wait times for food production estimations and communicate to upper leadership to adjust labor or operation to ensure quick and high-quality product.
  • Monitor and organize product using FIFO (first in, first out) to ensure proper product rotation, and ensure all assigned outlets are properly stocked.
  • Ensure products are put away in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing temperature-sensitive products.
  • Ensure all revenue location requisition sheets are given to warehouse leadership promptly and accurately.
  • Assist with safely transporting CO2, nitrogen, dry ice, and other fragile or volatile materials in accordance with Cowabunga Vegas procedures.
  • Assist with all aspects of the inventory process for Food & Beverage products that are completed on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Keep workstations, equipment, floors, windows, carts, coolers, freezers and any other supplies used clean, organized, and properly sanitized in compliance with health department and Cowabunga Vegas standards.
  • Complete daily and weekly restocking and cleaning tasks assigned by departmental leadership.
  • Communicate guest or team member feedback to appropriate management in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Train team members to perform tasks safely and in accordance with Cowabunga Vegas policies and departmental procedures.
  • Help reduce COGS by ensuring team members follow precise portion control, reduce waste, and strictly adhere to standardized recipes.
  • Follow and enforce all Pyek Group and Cowabunga Vegas policies and procedures, including documenting and enforcing disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of POS systems, recipes, and relevant labor, health, and food service regulations.
  • Proactively identify operational and equipment issues and collaborate with leadership to resolve them when appropriate.
  • Embody Cowabunga Vegas’s moment making keys of intentionality, Cowabunga-friendliness, safety, cleanliness, and fun throughout all departments.
  • Assist with other responsibilities, roles, departments, or park locations as assigned.
