About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for greeting arriving guests, assigning tables, and inviting back departing guests. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains seating chart with knowledge of all table numbers and the server assigned to each table. Observes dining room to ensure all tables, chairs, and floors are properly maintained throughout the shift. Seats guests. Informs management of maintenance problems and guest complaints. Informs servers when guests are seated and any special requests or needs. Possesses thorough knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions. Keeps menus clean and stocked. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Is sensitive to Native American Culture. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be dependable and reliable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Subject to internal working conditions, including a heat and smoking environment as well as an alcohol establishment.
- Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass a criminal background check, and submit to drug testing.

- High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED).
