About The Position

Cedarbrook Lodge is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Director to lead and oversee all dining, banquet, and beverage operations across the property. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who understands hotel food & beverage from a big-picture perspective — someone who leads through strong department heads, balances creativity with operational excellence, and enjoys being a visible, supportive leader The focus of this role is on leadership and operational oversight, working in close partnership with the Executive Chef as well as Banquet and Restaurant leaders to ensure a seamless, high-quality guest experience across all outlets. If you enjoy collaborating with culinary teams, developing leaders, and creating memorable experiences in a people-first environment, this could be a great fit.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive food & beverage leadership experience, ideally within a hotel or resort environment
  • Experience overseeing both restaurant and banquet operations through department leaders
  • Strong operational and financial understanding of food & beverage
  • Culinary knowledge and credibility, without needing to be a career Executive Chef
  • A people-first leadership style with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with POS systems and compliance standards
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of F&B operations, budgeting, labor/supply costs, and service quality.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all food & beverage operations, including restaurant, banquets, catering, and beverage programs
  • Lead, coach, and support a strong leadership team, including the Executive Chef, Restaurant Manager, and Banquet Manager
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership on menu strategy, pricing, and execution while maintaining focus on the overall health of the operation
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, labor strategies, and cost controls
  • Ensure consistent service standards and an exceptional guest experience across all outlets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Events, Rooms, and Finance to support group business and hotel operations
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and proactively address operational needs
  • Participate in the Manager-on-Duty rotation and support guest and team needs as they arise
