About The Position

Sun Outdoors Ocean City (formerly Castaways RV Resort) is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Food & Beverage Cashier (Seasonal) to join their team. As the first point of contact at their snack bar outlets, this role will provide exceptional customer service while efficiently handling guest transactions. It is an opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced resort environment, assisting guests and helping create a positive and memorable experience. The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing payments and maintaining proper cash-handling procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Guest service experience required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer proficiency, including email and internet use
Basic math skills required for cash handling, making change, and balancing drawers
Ability to resolve guest concerns calmly and effectively
Ability to read, write, and speak English to communicate with guests and understand menus
Ability to operate POS systems and cashier equipment
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

hospitality or food & beverage experience preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and house charges
Verify check totals and ensure all transactions are completed correctly
Provide excellent guest service and address concerns in a professional manner
Follow cash-handling and accounting guidelines for cash drawer and house bank management
Balance and secure the house bank at the end of each shift
Maintain compliance with Point of Sale (POS) procedures and resort policies
