About The Position

The Food Bank Coordinator position is designed to recruit, coordinate and encourage volunteers that come to The Salvation Army of Beaver Falls. This position also ensures that the Food Bank Distribution and related services operate correctly and that volunteers are in place to conduct the various aspects of the services each day. This position will complete maintenance and custodial duties on a regular basis to ensure a professional and neat appearance whether completed by volunteers or by Property Manager

Requirements

Current Pennsylvania Driver’s License with good Driving Record
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to Drive a 12-Passenger Van
Strong Communication Skills
A Love and Compassion for people who volunteer with out programs
The ability to work with limited supervision to complete tasks in a timely and orderly fashion
A love for the ministry and mission of The Salvation Army

Responsibilities

Schedule volunteers for the food bank
Maintain accurate volunteer files for follow-up and coordination
Host an annual volunteer appreciation event
Recruit new volunteers for the food bank and building maintenance
Attend County, and Regional Meetings as The Salvation Army’s Beaver Falls Corps representative for the food bank program
Plan menu of the Food Bank each Month
Plan, Review with the Corps Officers and Order food from the Food Bank.
Schedule the Food Bank Deliveries
Represent the Salvation Army of Beaver Falls at local volunteer fairs
Maintain accurate files of volunteer hours provided each month
Work with and Coordinate Volunteers for the Food Bank
Oversee the Baked Good Distribution and its Volunteers
Ensure proper Maintenance of records of Clients of the food bank for statistical purposes
Ensure that the food bank remains within budget
Seek out other sources for Gift in Kind Donations to benefit the food bank and Related Services
Pick-Up community food donations as needed
Any other tasks as designated by the Corps Officers that would be beneficial to the continued development of the Beaver Falls Corps
