As a Food & Nutrition Services Associate at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both a nutrition professional and a caregiver, providing delicious and nutritious meals for patients, staff, and others when they need it most. You will be joining a hard-working and compassionate team that is so vital for the day-to-day functions of our hospital. In this role: Prepare various foods and beverages for patients. Always prepare and portion foods following established guidelines, recipes, and production sheets. Consistently cover, label, and date foods and stores them properly according to procedures. Follow proper food handling techniques (gloves, handwashing, hair covering, no eating on the job, etc.) Always prepare and set up food and supplies in sufficient quantity to cover service requirements. Restock as needed. Always check daily menu needs and complete advance preparation for the next day. Help to reduce cost by minimizing waste and over production. Act in a cost-conscious manner by utilizing leftovers appropriately. Promptly report food shortages, outdated items or any products received in an unacceptable condition.
