Omni Royal Orleans is seeking a F & B Supervisor to join our team. Located in the heart of the French Quarter, Omni Royal Orleans anchors the corner of St. Louis and Royal Streets and has long been recognized as a historic Four Diamond hotel that reflects a more sophisticated time. Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must have significant mobility of arms and hands. Must be able to bend, squat and push, pull and lift up to 25-30 pounds.
  • Must be able to see, hear and communicate verbally in writing.
  • 2-3 years experience with computers and various computer programs.
  • High School graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Individual must be a good listener, effective communicator and detail oriented.
  • Individual will be expected to meet deadlines, work with little supervision and be flexible to handle interruptions.
  • Individual must be literate, have extensive verbal, mathematical and writing skills.
  • Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished, oral or diagrammatic form.
  • Must have strong, positive guest and employee relation skills.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience
  • Must have Food Handler's Card and TIPS

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the Hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, cleanliness and well being of restaurant guests.
  • Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings.
  • Ensure all staff has completed side work checklists for dining room.
  • Spot check liquor pars and order daily supplies.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste.
  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings and ensure department training requirements are met monthly.
  • Follow up on established training steps.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints and ensure member and guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours.
  • Observe, teach, and correct staff's service in a professional manner.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation.
  • Assist manager in scheduling, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
  • Participate in interviewing/recruiting as needed.
  • Assist in monthly MOS audits.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and follow-up.
  • Maintain knowledge of the hotel property and events.
  • Participate in department meetings and other required company training.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant management.
