About The Position

At Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara, the Food and Beverage Supervisor oversees daily pool operations, ensuring efficient service and customer satisfaction while upholding Four Seasons standards.

Requirements

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to obtain San Diego County Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service certifications
  • Driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role, a valid California Driver's License is required

Responsibilities

  • Execute the tasks of a Server and/or Bartender as needed.
  • Follow‑up on service procedures.
  • Supervise the consistency of quality and efficiency of food and service.
  • Work closely with Engineering department to maintain proper water quality and mechanical operation of the swimming and whirlpools.
  • Maintain the Poolside as a safe environment and in accordance with all health department regulations.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of the Summits fitness area, Summits/Palmera pool deck, patio terrace and cabana area and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, Stewarding and Engineering.
  • Maintain a friendly but unobtrusive manner with all guests.
  • Utilize all computer systems relevant to the departments.
  • Lead staff pre-shift meetings to keep employees informed of Residence Club policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service.
  • Maintain a log with important information to be passed onto management including but not limited to needed operational items, glitches, and staff disciplinary incidents.
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in perfect working condition and reports any deficiencies to the proper department.
  • Ensure the correct and consistent service techniques for various meal periods will be demonstrated by all staff members.
  • Anticipate, in advance, all materials and supplies and assure their availability.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure a supporting team of professionals.
  • Understand all food and beverage items offered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
  • Certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
  • Create staff schedules and pass these schedules onto management for approval.
  • Write glitches and follow up with guests when necessary.
  • Maintain and update staff information boards with pertinent information such as schedules and resort events.
  • Host during service by assisting in greeting and setting up guests, delegating guest information to servers and ensuring that the service binder and guest log is up to date throughout service.
  • Respond properly in any Residence Club emergency or safety situation.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Residence Club management and staff.
