About The Position

The Kitchen Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, assisting with dishwashing and ensuring the kitchen area remains organized. The position requires supporting the kitchen team by ensuring proper handling of dishes, utensils, and cleaning equipment, as well as performing various side duties to contribute to efficient service operations. The Kitchen Aide is a vital part of the kitchen team, contributing to the overall cleanliness, organization, and efficient operation of kitchen services. The role demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation.

  • Additional Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Equipment & Tools: Proficient in the use of commercial dishwashers and general kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Dishwashing & Cleaning: Wash all dishes, kitchen utensils, and restaurant instruments in a timely and sanitary manner. Ensure dishes are returned to their designated areas for proper use and storage.
  • Kitchen Sanitation: Keep the kitchen, food preparation areas, and storage spaces clean and orderly to meet health and safety standards. Perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment, counters, and floors before, during, and at the end of the shift.
  • Side Work: Assist with additional kitchen duties such as stocking supplies, organizing storage areas, and preparing for upcoming shifts. Perform any tasks requested by the Lead Cook, Chef, or Restaurant Manager.
  • Communication: Work closely with wait staff and management to maintain smooth operations and efficient service during busy periods. Communicate any issues, shortages, or required supplies to the appropriate staff members.
  • Other Duties: Perform other general duties as directed by the Restaurant/Chef Manager to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly.
