About The Position

At Hotel Forty Five, located in the vibrant downtown of Macon, the Food & Beverage Attendant contributes to exceptional guest experiences across all dining outlets by providing warm, attentive service from the moment guests arrive until they depart. The role focuses on supporting daily food and beverage operations, maintaining high standards of service and product quality, and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well cared for. This position plays an essential part in creating a seamless, enjoyable atmosphere while upholding the venue’s commitment to consistency and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
  • Prior experience in hospitality or serving roles is advantageous, with a minimum of one year in positions such as Server Assistant, Backwater, or Food Runner.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in using technology, such as tablets, for service-related tasks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, often in a potentially hot area under a heat lamp.
  • Ability to walk and bend.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Corrected vision within normal range.
  • Willingness to work long hours as required.
  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to make sound judgments quickly.
  • Capability to work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others.
  • Skills to manage different personalities within the office, hotel, and community.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient knowledge of all beverages, including liquors and wines.
  • Efficient and courteous service to guests, following service standards.
  • Accurate cash handling and accountability for financial discrepancies.
  • Comfortable with delivering food and drinks to guest rooms.
  • Punctuality and proper uniform compliance.
  • Team collaboration within the hotel.
  • Cleanliness and organization of serving areas.
  • Preparing tables with necessary service items.
  • Equipped with essential tools for the shift.
  • Comprehensive understanding of menu items and allergens.
  • Assisting servers with food and beverage service.
  • Prompt clearing and resetting of tables.
  • Setup and breakdown of dining areas.
  • Support during peak service times.
