This internship will focus on food access in the Boston community. The intern will complete an assessment of current food access organizations, coalitions, and resource tools within Boston. In addition, they will identify access points that offer culturally relevant foods and diabetes-friendly foods. They will prepare their findings in a report with recommendations for disseminating food access information to the community. Objectives: • Learn public health assessment skills by completing a landscape assessment through research and conversations with community partners and community members. • Collaborate with existing community partners and create new partnerships within the food access community. • Create reports highlighting findings and recommendations for dissemination and scaling. • Works to help BPHC advance as an anti-racist organization by meeting or exceeding the standards set by the BPHC Anti-Racism Policy.
