About The Position

The Folding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining folding machines used in metal fabrication to produce parts and components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Requirements

• Experience operating folding machines, press brakes or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Ability to lift 60lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure folding machines for production runs.
• Operate folding machines to bend and form metal sheets according to job specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and quality standards.
• Make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
• Record production data, machine settings, and maintenance logs.
