The Camera and Sensor Packaging (C&SP) cleanroom at Raytheon Vision Systems assembles vacuum dewars and large-format modules for vision systems for our customers. For these products to function effectively, we have become an industry leader in FOD (Foreign Object Debris) prevention at a microscopic level. The purpose of the FOD Prevention Area Focal is to engage in the cleanroom to oversee and promote a FOD Prevention culture. The FOD Prevention Area Focal will provide guidance, support initiatives, and ensure coverage with sufficient authority, time, budget and organizational freedom to identify and implement FOD prevention measures.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five years of FOD experience and at least 2 years of cleanroom experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an ISO class 7 cleanroom or better (with required coverall, hood, and boot gowning).
  • Experience in mechanical assembly using microscopes with contamination-sensitive hardware.
  • Experience in supervision, or with leading groups as an individual contributor.

Responsibilities

  • Work with all functions and areas to implement and validate the effectiveness of the established FOD Prevention Program within their area, as directed by the FOD Prevention Program Leader
  • Act as a point of contact for training and program implementation
  • Oversee all required training for cleanroom entry (gowning, entry cleaning, work station cleaning) as well as janitorial cleaning
  • Oversee CO2 tank testing
  • Oversee wafer monitoring, Lighthouse sensors, and Environmentally Controlled Area (ECA) event logs
  • Responsible for ECA annual recertification and certification of any reclassified areas in the cleanroom
  • Schedule, verify completion, log of FOD audits, and distribution of FOD audit findings to appropriate supervision
  • Regular monitoring of personnel within the cleanroom for compliance to FOD prevention protocols
  • Liaising with support functions (Facilities, Instrumentation Support Services, Janitorial, Security, and EHS) to ensure that required activities within the cleanroom are carried out in a FOD prevention compliant fashion
