About The Position

Performs a variety of patient food service, dishroom, and sanitation duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Food service experience in a high volume healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
• Must be knowledgeable of and able to follow the standards of federal, state and regulatory agencies and JCAHO for sanitation, food preparation and handling.
• Must be able to properly identify patients and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• Food service experience in a high volume healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitize all equipment in the dishroom, and assigned areas.
• Removes trash from kitchen, dining areas and clean walls/floors per assignment.
• Stock trays and silverware in dining room.
• Follow proper dish washing procedures: scraping, soaking, wash/sanitizing and storing clean dishes per assignment.
• Leaves dishroom in clean and organized manner.
• Set-up dish machine monitor and record water temperature.
• Other duties as assigned.
