Through your extensive knowledge and passion of fly fishing you will guide, engage, and educate our guests ensuring they have an experience that exceeds expectations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must display knowledge of local fisheries, fish breeds and ability with a variety of fly fishing equipment and techniques. Prior experience as a guide preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified (training provided)
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will be at an altitude of greater than 9,000 feet which the employee will have to acclimate to daily. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time and walk; use hands to handle, grip, point, feel and reach; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provides a world class and memorable fishing experience for The Broadmoor’s guests.
  • Shares genuine interest and passion for fly fishing with guests and delivers exciting experiences.
  • Teach and guide fly fishing for guests of any age or experience level in a varying weather and fishing conditions.
  • Drive Broadmoor vehicles to transport guests to assigned fishing locations and provide friendly, patient and professional service.
  • Learn and share knowledge of all Broadmoor Base Camp product lines and the function of the fly-fishing equipment with guests.
  • Works closely with the Base Camp Manager and sales associates to ensure that the guest experience is seamless
  • Has knowledge of all wilderness experiences including The Broadmoor Fishing Camp, The Ranch at Emerald Valley, Cloud Camp, Fish House, etc.
  • Responsible for all emergency procedures while serving as the primary guide and service provider for guests on and off Broadmoor property.
