About The Position

The Lead Fishing Guide is responsible for the gear, training and purchasing related to wade and float fishing. The ideal candidate is a professional educator and outdoorsperson who balances technical expertise with unparalleled customer service. This role is essential in ensuring guests receive an experience consistent with the standards set for Forbes Five-Star properties and members of Relais & Chateaux.

Requirements

• Full time employee
• At minimum 1 year of working for ranch
• Must be able and ready to lead 5 different activities
• Goes above and beyond in multiple spaces but builds and adds to the ranch and own education and skills
• Expands personal and fellow guide knowledge in trainings
• Follows thru with tasks asked to complete

Responsibilities

• Point of contact for on time budget purchases and capX requests that pertain to fishing space.
• Receipts and invoice accountability
• Vendor relations and Accounts management
• Gear maintenance and upkeep.
• Planning of trainings- trains both in space and in official forum
• Task prep and identification- Identifies and plans tasks as they pertain to designated space (Fishing/Shooting) and communicates needs of space to managers to find timing and solutions.
• Leading and overseeing large group activities or tasks that call for multiple guides in other departments (Ex. survival skills, paintball, corporate and ranch related events)
• Assesses skill of guides and consults with managers.
