About The Position

Town of Vail is Now Hiring Landscapers & Flower Crew Members for the 2026 Summer Season! Season Commitment Dates: May 4th, 2026 - October 16th, 2026 Starting at $23.58 per hour w/end-of-season bonus Employee Housing is Available on a Limited Basis - Apply Today! The Town of Vail is famous for its beautiful flower beds and flower displays. Be part of the crew that is responsible for planting all the incredible flowers around town. If you enjoy working outside, digging in the dirt and having 3 days off, this could be the job for you. We have fun, while working hard and take pride in our summer flowerbeds to ensure that our community looks great all summer long. Crew members will be responsible for the upkeep of the flower beds (e.g., planting, weeding, dead-heading, trimming, etc.), shrubbery, and general aesthetics of the town's landscaping. This will entail planting thousands of flowers in the towns round-abouts and other designated areas from East Vail to West Vail. Additional tasks may include, minor park/landscape projects, assisting with unloading of work trucks, site set up of plant materials, and use of installation tools according to company safety policy. May be assigned to other specific functions within the Public Works Department. Seasonal dates: May 4th, 2026 - October 16th, 2026 Hours: 4 days / 10 hour shifts. 7am - 5:30pm

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to all safety policies / procedures.
  • Position requires heavy lifting, standing, bending, and kneeling for entire shift.
  • Position has exposure to the outdoors in all weather conditions, traffic, chemicals and fumes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous landscaping experience preferred.
