The Position: In this role, the Flow Technician utilizes computer skills to monitor and report on meter calibration testing services for customers.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Basic experience with Excel, Word, Office 365.
  • Must have the ability to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear, lift up to 50 pounds, and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Practical experience in metrology, calibrations, and data analysis desired.
  • Experience in PC gaming, IT Helpdesk highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Participates in Flow Measurement Training
  • Performs assembly and disassembly on test systems utilizing hand, pneumatic and battery-operated tools, and overhead cranes or hoists.
  • Perform calibrations and testing, data acquisition
  • Establish appropriate communication with meter under test
  • Ensures that customer requirements are met for calibrations and testing
  • Works directly with customers to meet calibration requirements
  • Performs troubleshooting of meters and test systems/instrumentation
  • Utilizes all equipment and instrumentation used in labs
  • Assists other departments as needed
