About The Position

About the Role: Location: Must reside in the NYC region We seek a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer specializing in Flow Cytometer Systems and Cell Sorting equipment. You will provide technical support, repairs, and troubleshooting in clinical environments, working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

  • Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of service and customer-facing experience; 1 year in engineering, medical, or science-related environments preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with automation/robotics systems.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Office, and PC/network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to new technologies, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Experience in equipment calibration, data gathering, and service goal monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, maintain, and repair flow cytometer systems, cell sorting equipment, and related laboratory instrumentation.
  • Configure and support digital products, middleware, and instrumentation integrations.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues onsite or remotely, replacing parts as needed.
  • Maintain accurate service records in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate problem resolution to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Manage company assets, including tools, parts, and inventory.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and the company, ensuring clear communication.
  • Support cross-departmental collaboration to improve service efficiency.
  • Perform corrective maintenance, installations, and performance assurance within targeted timelines.
