Job Summary: Floral Assistants provide support to the floral department with a variety of activities such as helping prepare flowers for arrangements and displays, assisting customers, maintaining supplies and a clean work environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma, or equivalent
Knowledge of different types of flowers
Safely use pruning shears and box cutters
Excellent customer service

Position requires walking, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting with a maximum weight of 50lbs.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by helping customers with product selection and answering questions
Assistant floral designers with arrangements, bouquets, and displays for a variety of occasions
Answer phone and take orders
Keep displays fresh by properly rotating flowers
Process flowers and care for plants
Inform customers about care, maintenance, and handling of flowers
Deliver arrangements, when necessary
Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety regulations
Perform other duties, as assigned
