Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public.
  • Strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care.
  • Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology.
  • Maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations.
  • Physically able to move throughout the workday and lift items up to 50 pounds using safe handling practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a CCRC is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all floor and carpet care across the campus, including stripping, refinishing, buffing, shampooing, and extracting.
  • Clean kitchen and dining area floors on a scheduled (quarterly) basis.
  • Assist with the distribution of supplies for the housekeeping and laundry departments.
  • Remove trash and waste as assigned.
  • Support resident room changes, including moving furniture and cleaning.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Conduct periodic carpet shampooing in residential rooms.
  • Provide general cleaning and disinfecting throughout the facility as needed.
  • Assist with setting up and breakdown for facility events.
