About The Position

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness across manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and office environments. This role directly supports production uptime and protects sensitive R&D and manufacturing processes through proper housekeeping and contamination control practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year experience in janitorial, industrial cleaning, or facilities support (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Ability to safely operate powered cleaning equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Strong reliability, attendance, and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of production floors, labs, offices, restrooms, and common areas
• Operate and maintain floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and related janitorial equipment
• Remove debris, metal shavings, dust, and contaminants from manufacturing areas
• Follow established cleaning schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Support 5S and lean manufacturing workplace organization standards
• Handle and dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental procedures
• Support facilities and maintenance teams with basic non-technical tasks as assigned
• Follow all PPE, safety, and facility access requirements
