About The Position

Avita Health System is a growing healthcare provider serving Crawford and Richland counties with three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. The system has expanded significantly, now employing over 2,300 team members and more than 200 physicians and advanced practitioners, all dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. The organization is seeking a dedicated Floor Tech to join its Environmental Services Department at the Avita Ontario Hospital. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all floors across the organization, including physician clinics both on and off main campuses. Responsibilities include performing floor care such as top scrubs, stripping, and refinishing floors as directed by the EVS manager and supervisor. The position also involves cleaning rooms after C-Sections and emergency surgeries, which may occur during late evening and early morning hours, and undertaking other environmental services tasks as requested.

Requirements

Current valid Ohio driver’s license in good standing with insurance company acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Performs floor care, top scrubs and or strips and refinishes all floors in the organization including physician clinics with some being off main campuses, as requested by the EVS manager and the EVS Supervisor.
Cleans rooms after C-Sections and or emergency surgeries that may occur in the late evening and early morning hours.
Performs other environmental services responsibilities as requested.
