As a Floor Technician/Project Work Supervisor, you'll be an essential leader in our mission, ensuring our team delivers the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of floor care experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in floor maintenance techniques (stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet extraction, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and operate floor care equipment safely.
  • Ability to read and follow safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling procedures.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with various flooring types (VCT, terrazzo, rubber, carpet, epoxy).
  • Previous experience in healthcare, educational, or commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and schedule floor care staff; assign daily and weekly tasks and monitor work performance.
  • Oversee and perform floor maintenance tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, scrubbing, recoating, and carpet extraction.
  • Ensure the safe and proper use of all floor care equipment and chemicals.
  • Develop and maintain detailed floor care schedules and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Inspect work areas for quality, safety, and adherence to cleaning standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff time, work completion, equipment logs, and supply inventory.
  • Order and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment parts.
  • Enforce OSHA, facility safety, and infection control standards; conduct team safety training as required.
  • Communicate effectively with facility management, maintenance, and housekeeping teams.
  • Lead by example by performing floor care tasks as needed to meet operational goals.
