About The Position

Vanguard Renewables, based in Weston, Massachusetts, is a national leader in environmental services and the development of food and dairy waste-to-renewable energy projects. The Company builds, owns, and operates on-farm anaerobic digestion facilities and is continuing to scale through an extensive national expansion of its Farm Powered ® platform. It is committed to advancing decarbonization by reducing greenhouse gas emissions from farms and food waste, generating renewable energy, and supporting regenerative agriculture on partner farms. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Floor Supervisor supports day-to-day operations at assigned facilities. In this role, the Floor Supervisor will work closely with plant staff, maintenance resources, and site leadership to support operational execution, safety compliance, and equipment reliability.

Requirements

  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Prior experience leading a team in a warehouse, manufacturing or other industrial environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
  • Will be required to regularly lift, move and/or push objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • Maintenance and operating experience in an industrial, operations or maintenance environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an industrial or processing environment preferred
  • Military experience or technical training in a related field is a plus
  • Familiarity with workplace safety programs or a strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Ability to respond effectively to changing operational conditions
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English is required
  • Willingness to learn how to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Interest in developing analytical skills related to plant performance and operational data
  • Fundamental proficiency with Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Supports daily plant operations by coordinating, prioritizing, and executing operational activities on the floor
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight to plant personnel, supporting task execution and adherence to procedures
  • Assists with onboarding and training of plant employees and promotes consistent operational practices
  • Monitors plant performance and equipment conditions, escalating issues to the Operations Manager as needed
  • Supports cost control efforts by identifying inefficiencies, maintenance needs, and operational improvement opportunities
  • Coordinates with maintenance teams and vendors under the direction of the Operations Manager
  • Promotes compliance with company safety programs and ensures adherence to plant safety, health, and environmental policies
  • Participates in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance activities
  • Supports oversight of outside contractors to ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with procedures
  • Participates in plant housekeeping programs and material handling safety initiatives
  • Tracks repairs and scheduled maintenance through work management software
  • Assists with the development, review, and execution of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintains consistent and reliable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
