SUMMARY: Promote customer gaming by providing prompt customer service through basic technical help with video gaming machines and processing cash transactions for gaming customers.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a Coeur d'Alene tribal gaming license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • One year of previous experience working in a casino environment is required.
  • Two years of prior customer service experience required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong cashiering skills required.
  • Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be adept at managing conflict and influencing outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required.
  • Basic problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be able to follow broad policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and carry a change bank (cash and coin) in order to provide cash services for guests including making change, assisting with the retrieval of tickets, and verifying and assisting with jackpot payouts.
  • Respond to radio calls within 3-5 seconds either by accepting the call or setting an ETA and work to minimize wait times.
  • Properly process jackpots including obtaining the individual’s ID, checking the bad check list, and correctly filling out and double checking W2G information.
  • Maintain knowledge of games in play, special events and activities, casino promotions, and operation information in order to assist customers.
  • Promptly greet and acknowledge guests entering the gaming areas and offer assistance.
  • Continually rotate throughout assigned area, calling “change” and providing guest service.
  • Notify surveillance prior to opening machine when Acres is down or when accessing the bill validator, telling them the location, bank, and machine numbers and the purpose of opening the machine and wait for surveillance to acknowledge.
  • Use acres card to provide record of interaction with the machines and accurately and legibly write in machine log book the reason for accessing the machine including the date, time, signature, and employee number.
  • Remain vigilant in surveillance over assigned area in order to detect irregularities on the part of players.
  • Handle routine machine maintenance and obtain the services of a bench technician as needed.
  • As time allows, observe and notate machine and floor maintenance needs.
  • Handle customer inquiries and play assistance, deferring any disputes or conflict to a floor supervisor or casino manager.
  • Notify shift supervisor or casino manager of any concerns customers may have or in the event of a customer complaint.
  • Ensure the change room and any other assigned work areas are neat and clutter free.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
