About The Position

We are seeking a Floating Teacher to join our mission of providing New York City’s 0-6-year-olds with a foundation for lifelong learning. In this role, you are the ultimate multi-hyphenate. One hour, you might be spotting a budding gymnast on the bars, the next you’re stepping in or supporting a lead teacher in one of our “Tools of the Mind” private preschool classrooms. You are the glue that holds our community together and the spark that makes our enrichment programs legendary and preschool classes an incredible foundation for lifelong learning!

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma is required but an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years of lead teaching experience in pre-k, camp, after school, and other enrichment experiences for ages 0-6.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Be a passionate teacher and lifelong learner!

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Assist a variety of classes for children ages 0 to 6 years. You’ll use a variety of curricula to teach everything from preschool to art and stem classes!
  • Help children build confidence, coordination, and social skills through activities and structured play, ensuring a “safe to fail” environment where children feel secure enough to take risks and explore their world.
  • Support with transitions, classroom organization, and daily operations. You are the teammate who sees a need and jumps in with a smile.
  • Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing the successes and challenges of their child’s day, and building a bridge between school and home.

Benefits

  • PTO and sick/safe leave (exact amounts vary based on part-time/full-time status).
  • Medical (for full time), Dental, and Vision coverage (for full or part time), plus a 401(k) Plan with Company Contribution (all roles)
  • Commuter programs, discounted fitness memberships, and more!
