Requirements

  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience with precision measuring and gauging equipment.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Candidates without prior experience must successfully complete an on-the-job training program.
  • Previous related experience or successful completion of on-the-job training.
  • Completion of all OSHA-required safety training.
  • Cross-training across multiple departments, including CNC machining and shipping/receiving.

Nice To Haves

  • Manual and/or CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of insert tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the maintenance of industrial saws and cutting tools.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as dial calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to maintain required tolerances.
  • Maintain saw blades in accordance with customer and manufacturer specifications using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment.
  • Inspect saws and tooling for defects and ensure proper functionality.
  • Operate and support CNC machines as needed, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving functions, including material handling, packaging, and verification of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Float between departments—including CNC machining, maintenance, and shipping/receiving—to support operational needs.
  • Optimize machine and workflow utilization while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
