Job Summary and Responsibilities Embark on a unique and rewarding journey with us as we seek an RN who is passionate about the care of our patients for our West Valley Float Pool. As a vital member of our Float Pool team, which floats between St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center & St. Joseph Westgate, your clinical expertise will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care across multiple units. You’ll build trust in these interactions by presenting a positive attitude and by being reliable. Your success in this role comes from your knowledge to provide care to various disease processes in a variety of situations ranging from minor to critical. Rest assured, we have a robust support system in place, including team meetings, and a culture of open communication. Collaborate with various other healthcare professionals, such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging. Quickly report and address any changes in condition. Patiently and thoroughly explain test results and procedures to patients and family members. Educate patients on post-hospital care, including prescribed medicine, care maintenance, and prevention.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of Nursing experience. Additional years of experience as required by specialty area(s)
  • Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS)
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card (AHA ACLS)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various other healthcare professionals, such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging.
