This role requires the ability to work at multiple locations, including Beaver Meadows, Home care and Hospice. Travel between these sites is an essential part of the position.

Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for at least 8 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and carry at least 25 lbs.
  • Requires hand grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor manipulation.
  • Requires the ability to kneel, squat, twist, bend at the waist, and reach.
  • Must be able to push residents in wheelchairs and move laundry carts.

Responsibilities

  • Make regular rounds on residents, checking for their location, safety, and well-being.
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), encouraging maximum independence.
  • Deliver mail and newspapers to residents.
  • Set dining room tables for meals as needed.
  • Serve meals/snacks and deliver meal trays to resident rooms.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties (e.g., trash removal, cleaning, and bed-making).
  • Manage laundry: collect, wash, dry, fold, and return resident laundry and linens.
  • Encourage and assist resident participation in activities and recreational programs.
  • Escort residents to and from recreational programs and assist during events.
  • Accurately document resident care and services provided.
  • Provide residents with medication and treatment assistance as directed.
  • Communicate with pharmacy, doctors’ offices, and families as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
  • Address and report customer service issues, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Attend and complete all required in-service education and staff meetings.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Maintain annual Diabetic Certification
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
  • Must be available and willing to work at any clinical building requiring staff coverage.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and reliability in fulfilling scheduled shifts.
