Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Flight Test Technician 2/3 - Cage Attendant to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation (T&E) organization. This position will be located in Emerado, ND.

Requirements

  • Level 2: High School Diploma/GED with two years of industry-related experience.
  • Level 3: High School Diploma/GED with four years of industry-related experience.
  • Ability to lift 30lbs.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Data Collection systems (MES, FMT, CAMS).
  • Excellent knowledge of tools and their intended use, tool accountability, Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and Safety programs.
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance within a reasonable period.
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period.

Nice To Haves

  • Mix of back shop and flightline maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management and/or Mission Assurance concepts.
  • Tool control and maintenance experience.
  • Familiar with equipment and test units.
  • Familiarization with tool and asset accountability systems such as CribMaster and TEAMMS.
  • Good understanding of Hazardous Material processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining positive inventory control on all inventoried parts via the checkout system.
  • Issuing, accepting, and inspecting tools and test equipment in support of article testing.
  • Testing, troubleshooting, removal, installation, modification, and maintenance of aerospace systems including, but not limited to fuel, hydraulics, ECS, flight controls, propulsion, landing gear, CNI, and ground support equipment.
  • Operate ground equipment, aerospace systems checkout, perform pre and post-use inspections, service fuel, lubrication, cooling, and other requirements as necessary.
  • Perform electrical wiring repairs: Solder, Crimp, Replace components.
  • Interface with Shipping/Receiving, engineering property management, CAL and other support groups.
  • Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to fabricate and assemble necessary fixtures and/or components.
  • Work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
