About The Position

The Flight Simulation Technician Tech II (Tech II) provides support services, technical expertise, and team skills necessary to maintain the high quality performance of the Flight Simulation and Training Device (FSTD), Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD), Immersive Training Device (ITD), and Extended Reality (XR) training and research inventory at the Daytona Beach campus. Provides supervision, mentoring, training, and tasking of part-time technical staff to maintain and assure fleet compliance with regulatory requirements and pilot training needs. Participates in the design/development, acquisition, relocation, installation, operation, and maintenance of training resources and the Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) network, as well as the upkeep and improvement of the FAA approved Simulator-Quality Management System (S-QMS).

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or completion of program of 18+ months after high school.
  • Area of study: Avionics Technology, Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Information Technology, Software Engineering Technology, or Network Systems Technology.
