About The Position

Flight Nurse is part of the specialty transport team of experts to safely transport patients between medical facilities and accident scenes. An important aspect includes collaboration with other medical and emergency service providers for the purpose of establishing continuity of care by applying problem solving strategies to patient case challenges, adapting to a dynamic and challenging environment, and advancing treatment modalities/interventions with the end goals of providing the highest patient care and improving patient outcomes. Please note the following important details regarding this position: This role is an onsite position and will report onsite daily as scheduled. This role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of our office location listed below: Texas: Lubbock, TX Flexible and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on departmental needs and operational requirements. Flexible and available to work on a variable shift which may include days, evenings, or nights shifts.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Texas Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
  • National Trauma Nursing Core Course - Emergency Nurses Association
  • Neonatal Pediatric Transport Subspecialty Certification (C-NPT) -OR- Registered Nurse Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) -OR- Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) Within 2 years of hire
  • 3 or more years of acute care nursing

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of PICU, NICU, and/or L&D experience.
  • 3 or more years of Flight Nursing/Specialty Transport Nursing
