About The Position

Acute Air Ambulance is a premier provider of air medical transportation services, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients in need. Our team of skilled professionals is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients during transport. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Flight Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a contractor in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. As a Flight Respiratory Therapist at Acute Air Ambulance, you will play a vital role in providing advanced respiratory care to patients during air medical transport. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

Requirements

Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in the state of Florida.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in respiratory care, with at least 1 year in a critical care or emergency setting.
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in high-stress environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Current Passport
Drug Screen and Background check required
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Available within a 45-minute drive from FLL International Airport

Nice To Haves

Experience in air medical transport is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide respiratory care to patients during air transport, including ventilator management and oxygen therapy.
Assess and monitor patients' respiratory status and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in respiratory care.
