About The Position

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Flightline Mechanic to join our Manufacturing department based in Mobile, AL The Flightline Mechanic is responsible for performing Functional Test Procedure, Pre & Post Flight inspection to prepare built aircraft for test flight and delivery readiness. This would include troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting aircraft systems using approved aircraft data. The Flightline Mechanic would proficiently operate and understand a wide variety of test equipment and tooling. The Mechanic must have the ability to interpret technical manuals, drawing and engineering data to support tasks. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Requirements

  • 3 years minimum aviation experience, preferably in an aviation manufacturing or MRO environment
  • Valid Airframe License
  • Must be willing to work Rotation shift schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport which allows unrestricted travel to Canada

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot malfunctions, rigs, repairs, replacement aircraft structures, components and aircraft systems of moderate difficulty
  • Maintain and rework Aircraft Components including but not limited to landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and ventilation
  • Servicing, repair cabin interior components
  • Prepare documentation in accordance with company procedure
  • Perform day to day aircraft maintenance
  • Experience with Refuel/Defuel, Aircraft Jack and Tow
