About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an Air Dominance GNC Manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO. Air Dominance is looking for a senior manager to lead a team of Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineers who execute critical development efforts on several Proprietary Efforts associated within the Air Dominance portfolio. This position will be responsible for certification and test activities for the program, including lab and vehicle testing. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
  • 5 years of experience in a Flight engineering discipline
  • 3 years of experience working in GNC related engineering
  • 3 years of Cross IPT Leadership and Coordination Experience
  • Experience with Operational Flight Program (OFP) development, certification, and testing
  • Experience with Hardware in the loop (HILS) testing
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Manage employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering.
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquire resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manage, develop and motivate employees and first-level managers.

  • Summary pay range: $142,800 - $193,200
