About The Position

You will join an innovative and collaborative User Experience & Design team responsible for creating best in class digital experiences across a globally recognized hospitality brand. In this role, you will design commerce focused web products, contributing to both near term feature delivery and long term product strategy. You will help shape digital experiences that drive revenue conversion, strengthen customer engagement, and support outcomes for business, leisure, member, and non member audiences. You will partner closely with the Director of User Experience, as well as cross functional product and technology teams. This position requires both hands on design execution and the ability to guide and provide feedback to internal and external designers. A strong portfolio demonstrating UX capabilities—especially in ecommerce or conversion driven design—is essential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in digital product design.
  • 4 year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong grounding in usability, user flows, and transactional design best practices.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for increasing search rate and step conversion.
  • Proven experience delivering concepts, user journeys, prototypes, and designs across platforms (desktop, mobile web).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multiple design disciplines, including interaction design and visual design.
  • Background in large scale global digital apps, websites, or other commerce experiences.
  • Familiarity with checkout flows, ecommerce product and pricing display best practices, and search form and search result patterns.
  • Expertise within hospitality or travel industry digital products is a plus.
  • Strong communication capabilities, including presentation, storytelling, and discovery facilitation.
  • Experience working within Agile / SAFE methodologies.
  • Champion conversion optimization while maintaining a high quality user experience.
  • Promote UX best practices drawn from varied industries.
  • Communicate through compelling visuals and well structured deliverables.
  • Demonstrate confidence, energy, and enthusiasm in influencing teams.
  • Thrive in fast paced environments and excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Produce sketches, wireframes, personas, journey maps, flows, designs, motion specifications, prototypes, and presentations as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on key functional systems and help guide strategic initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Apply knowledge of Marriott hotel brands and the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program to ensure design consistency across digital products.
  • Reference and contribute to the Design System, ensuring accurate use of patterns, components, and styles.
  • Create both high level conceptual designs and development ready specifications.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to help ensure a high quality live experience.
  • Use industry standard tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Microsoft Office.
  • Stay current on industry trends and identify strategic opportunities based on emerging practices.
  • Present design decisions clearly using qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Act as a thought partner, offering research driven recommendations for experience improvements.
  • Collaborate with related UX disciplines such as Information Architecture, Design Systems, User Research, and Copywriting.
  • Provide accurate time estimates for project planning.
  • Meet agreed upon deadlines and communicate any risks proactively.
  • Report blockers or impediments and provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Manage multiple concurrent assignments effectively.
  • Offer and receive critique professionally in support of team outcomes.
  • Maintain timely and clear communication with teammates.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Build relationships across teams and leverage them to remove obstacles or gather insights.
  • Present work with clarity and confidence, simplifying complex topics for broad audiences.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the manager.
