About The Position

This is a temporary role. The Flex Analyst, Sales Data brings together knowledge of field processes and best practices to support initiatives impacting the group, meetings & events segment and provides business support to our associates as it relates to group distribution & group digital products. This role supports the Global Group Distribution team with execution of updates to documentation including but not limited to business process documents, knowledge articles, training, and job aids. The Analyst, Sales Data will also support project work such group distribution and group digital product activation as well as provide administrative support to the Global Group Product & Distribution team in preparation Marriott’s Digital and Technology Transformation (MGP).

Requirements

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 1+ years’ relevant professional experience in sales and catering, event management, group rooms management or revenue management or
  • 3+ year’s relevant professional experience in sales and catering, event management, group rooms management or revenue management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products to create and edit documents, especially in Excel and PPT

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Siebel (CI/TY, SFAWeb)
  • Experience working in Empower Sales, One Yield, MARSHA, HPP, EPIC.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow (Marriott Service Portal)
  • Experience with Smartsheet templates and forms
  • Lodging/hospitality industry experience across multiple brands

Responsibilities

  • Group Distribution & Group Product Support Activities
  • Audits, organizes, and updates support resources including but not limited to Knowledge articles, MGS pages, the SOP database, training, and job aids. This may include testing, screen captures, verifying links, and updating verbiage as well as cataloging resources available.
  • Assists with effective tracking of technology and business process gaps and enhancements for accountability and resolution
  • Supports tasks related to instant book product setup, auditing channel set up, content and more.
  • Provides support with reviewing and acting on Marriott Service Portal escalated tickets as needed
  • Monitors the Group Distribution related inboxes and supports global associates as needed
  • Attends and participates in all relevant meetings
  • Takes initiative when needed and works with minimal supervision
  • Collaborates with internal partners and stakeholders to support business/initiative strategies
  • Maintains positive working relationships with internal customers and department leaders Maintaining Goals
  • Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
