About The Position

The Fleet Wash Technician is responsible for the detailed cleaning and appearance maintenance of company fleet vehicles. This role performs exterior washing, interior detailing, and safe movement of vehicles using approved tools, power-washing equipment, and cleaning chemicals. The Fleet Wash Technician ensures vehicles meet company quality, safety, and environmental standards while adhering to all operational procedures. Attention to detail, safe driving practices, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles and pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Ability to use electronic devices such as tablets or mobile devices for work documentation
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Ability to work a regular schedule (M–F, day shift) and additional hours as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Use of power-washing equipment and cleaning tools
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and outdoor elements
  • Repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and arms

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-checks of wash equipment, vehicles, and required chemicals prior to each shift
  • Safely operate and move fleet vehicles within designated areas in accordance with company driving policies
  • Wash exterior surfaces of fleet vehicles using approved soaps, power washers, brushes, and detailing tools
  • Clean and detail vehicle interiors, including dashboards, seats, cargo areas, and floor surfaces
  • Remove grease, oil, dirt, and other contaminants from vehicle surfaces
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to management
  • Follow proper chemical handling, dilution, and environmental procedures
  • Maintain wash areas, equipment, and drainage controls to prevent contamination and ensure a safe workspace
  • Complete required documentation and quality checks for each vehicle serviced
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
