Riverside Refreshments Inc. is a family-owned company that has been in business for over ninety years offering beverage sales, vending, office coffee service and cafeteria services in two states throughout the Central Savannah River Area. Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Responsible daily for property walk-through both inside and outside of gate, retrieving any visible debris on the property, including out by the roadway. Responsible for daily policing of the dumpsters and loading dock area. Responsible for bi-weekly cleaning of warehouse floors, including sweeping and operating a floor scrubber in accordance with safety and maintenance standards. Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Responsible for washing trucks. Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts. Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs). Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns and available for after regular work hours and week-end call emergency situations. Conducts safety checks on vehicles. Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Assists Truck Shop Manager and mechanics in the completion of project work. Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Ability to work in all outdoor conditions, including potential severe weather elements, cold conditions, rain and ice. Normal setting for this job is: repair/maintenance shop.
