About The Position

Fleet Mechanic - IDS at PITTSBURGH International Airport $28.00 per hour - $29.00 per hour Starting pay: $28.00/hr. | Full-time Position |Shoulder schedule will be 4 – Ten hour days Monday - Thursday, 0500 - 1530 May thru Sept. | Winter Operations schedule: Rotating-shifts based on Operational needs - Oct. – Apr. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to speak and hear efficiently
Basic to intermediate computer skills
Candidates must have your own basic set of tools (sockets/wrenches) up to 1" in size and up to 1/2" drive.
Effective time management and organizational skills to manipulate multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines at once
Knowledge of fluid types, diesel powered machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Maintain and treat all information as confidential
Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
Must be able to verbally direct in English
Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
Proven knowledge and use of standard and specialty tools and specialized testing equipment (i.e. photo tachometer, diagnostics tools and hardware, scanners and meters)
A valid driver’s license is required for this position
Ability to travel to our other IDS Airport stations to help our company when called upon. (TDY)

Responsibilities

Accountable for local maintenance scheduling and performance to ensure equipment dependability
Perform all duties of a skilled maintenance technician following recognized procedures for such work, as required
Ability to read and use maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, schematics, blueprints, drawings, and other related maintenance documents to complete work assignments
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic problems and resolve within an established timeframe
Maintain complete and accurate maintenance records and conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections on equipment
