About The Position

MMT Ambulance is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to join their growing team in Bellevue, NE. This role is crucial for making a meaningful impact in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) by ensuring the operational readiness of their fleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosis, service, and repair of all vehicle and patient transport/securement systems. This includes accurately diagnosing vehicle failures, executing repairs, and assisting with inventory control. MMT Ambulance is a rapidly expanding company with over 35 years of experience, dedicated to providing efficient and reliable interfacility ambulance patient transportation. Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Self-confidence, emotional stability, good judgment, and tolerance for high stress
  • Possess good verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in both light diesel and gas vehicle repair.
  • Ability to utilize multiple computer systems, and accurately document all actions in MMT’s Fleet Management System

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with repair and maintenance of ambulance or emergency vehicles is preferred.
  • ASE or manufacturers certifications preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs vehicles and equipment.
  • Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Documents vehicle records in Fleet Management system.
  • Execute major and minor repairs of defective components and vehicle systems.
  • Sources and procures parts/supplies through MMT national accounts
  • Maintain work environment in an organized and safe condition
