FLEET MECHANIC I Under immediate supervision with guidance from other technicians perform maintenance, repair work and training on light and heavy-duty fleet vehicles and equipment including gas, diesel, electric, alternative fueled, emergency response vehicles and associated operating equipment, and to perform related duties as required. This position is distinguished from the Fleet Mechanic II by the performance of more routine tasks and duties assigned, as well as a lower expectation to perform with the same independence and direction as a level II.
